financial aid?
Hello I currently go to school and live with my parents. heres my situation. I want to get financial aid because i pay for my schooling on my own but i cant get financial aid because i live with my parents. I plan on moving out before the Fall semester and would like financial aid then. How do i get financial aid when i will be still living with my parents when i fill out the forms for F.A. I will probably be moving out beginning of Aug. Thanks
You need to claim yourself as independant...meaning your parents can not claim you on their income tax. I lived at home and that is how I got around it.
Financial Aid?
I want to attend this college and I dont have any money to start yet so I figured I better get some financial aid going on here. So I was just wondering what financial aid programs I could apply for that are considerably good and WILL work. I was thinking FAFSA...but then again I've never applied for financial aid...so help? thank you. ~Jazz~
do FAFSA, it helps alot...you ahve to get a Pin number first...its on the fafsa page...and then you get started on the FAFSA application but you need your taxes with you and all that stuff....and you should do scholarships as well, theyre fun, but it sucks when you dont win them =/ go on fastweb.com and apply, if you dont already have one, its a website with a bunch of scholarships that fit you best, they ask you questions at first to see what your intrested in...and then they show your what scholarships you would like...hope that helps =]
Financial Aid....?
I applied for financial aid and was approved. However, it says things about Subsidized and UnSubsidized loans. I do not want a loan it tells me how much I can get. I wanted the tuition to go down. I though financial aid was a way of asking the school to help by not charging me so much. I only plan on doing this my first year of college because the rest is paid for. I am struggling to make the tuition and so I thought financial aid paid it for me. Can someone explain what ways there are that I can reduce the ammount I owe or remove it completely. Yeah making payments is the answer so no smart aXX answers. You get the idea explain financial aid and all the ways it is available. I qualify for the first kid in the family to go to college or graduate whatever it is. I don't know ho to get that though.
If you are not satisfied with what they gave you, you can tell them you want a review or ... i do not know exactly what it is called. basically what you do is tell them they need to review it because you feel you should have gotten better. like i said sorry i forgot the official name of what they call it. that should help you though. but you probably will need more help

I want to know about the scheme of the numa university of narway where there have been scholarship programe towards the master degree in conflict peace and development for nepalese and srilankian student through their home university.

I am a single parent. I have a son who will be attending college in two years and I just need some answers regarding financial aid. I do not make a large salary and my spousal support and child support will reduce when he is ready to attend college. Do they look at both parental incomes or just the income of the parent that the child lives with. My son lives with me. Also do they look at savings accounts, retirement accounts as well when applying for financial aid.

...Student financial aid refers to funding intended to help students pay education expenses including tuition and fees, room and board, books and supplies, etc. for education at a college, university, or private school. General governmental funding for public education is not called financial aid, which refers to awards to specific individual students. A scholarship is sometimes used as a synonym for a financial aid award. Read full entry
