..Exercise?
I'm 5'5 and weight about 125.
I'm trying to lose some pounds
overall so I can thin out my
thighs. I've already limited
my junk food intake. I'm an
extremely picky eater, so I
don't eat any fruits,
vegetables, and the majority
of meats. Yeah, I know -- I'm
a total freak for disliking
all that. I've read in several
places online that eating 6
small meals a day and then
exercising helps to lose
weight.. but I can't really
eat that often in the day.
The way I'd prefer to exercise
is using a stationary bike. I
was wondering how long I
should exercise on the bike
each day to lose 10-15 pounds
before the end of the year?
And maybe what I should limit
my caloric intake to in
respect to the exercise so I
can lose that weight? Thanks a
ton guys!

Probably about 30 to 40 minutes a day, as you progress if you can go longer, DO. Also Doing about 30 or 40 squats everyother day should help too. Dont start out too heavy or you'll over work yourself and the same with the squats if as you progress you can go longer do. |

How to exercise and not lose When you exercise, what are
some things to look out for
when you're trying to exercise
to tone up but not to lose
weight or inches? For example,
should your heart rate not go
up? Should you just exercise
until you feel the burn,
pause, then start again?
Thanks for the tips!

Just eat enough, and you will not lose weight or inches. Your heart rate has to rise and your have to feel the burn in order to get exercise at all, so you can`t avoid those! |

the best exercises for beginners or for someone who hasn't done much for a long time would be to start of with gentle exercises, maybe a leisurely stroll, start with a gentle 20 minute walk 2-3 times a week for a few weeks then as you feel fitter start to walk faster and further, after a couple of months try adding some more exercises like push ups or sit ups, start off with as many as you can manage without hurting yourself and then gradually increase the number of repetitions. before you start though see your doctor, explain that you want to start exercising and ask for a checkup to make sure there are no underlying medical conditions that would be made worse by the extra exercises |
