you know how with certain television programs or even possibly movies, mention executive producer and producer? well, I'm just wondering what is the difference.
Producers are in charge of the production. They are charge of casting, hiring and firing people, approving scripts, budgeting...pretty much everything that deals with actually making sure the production goes smoothly. An executive producer owns the production and has final say in everything that happens. 90% of the time, the executive producer doesn't even go on the set. They simply purchase the rights and either make money or lose money, depending on how well the production does.
