evangelism
...Evangelism is the practice of relaying information regarding a belief to others who are less knowledgeable. The term is often used in reference to Christianity, where the scriptures often describe "evangelism" as "spreading the Gospel". The term may be also used for the practice of attempting to convert people to other religions. Evangelism?
I am curious do Christians
understand the consequences of
Univited Evangelism? or do you
believe there are no
consequences and that
uninvited evangelism is an
essential part of modern
Christianity.
Thanks

My understanding is that Jesus expects Christians to offer our faith to others, and then accept 'No' when the message is not welcome. I don't understand why the evangelical church disregards this instruction. The most powerful evangelism, anyway, is to model Christianity. The most attractive Christians I know model Christ's teachings in their daily lives, and their lives themselves bear witness to how Christ lives in believers. Blessings. |
