The Etruscans are one of the few pre-Indo-European peoples to have survived to the Roman period. They remained a major power in Italy up to the fifth century BC. They lived somewhere in the upper Italy. The language, written in a variety of the Greek alphabet, is very different from other Italian tongues. |

Wht is Etruscan alphabet Hi,
Etruscan is a pre historic
civilization in Italy. It is
said their language has
survived till about 1000 years
ago when it was extinguished.
However I understand there is
something called Etruscan
alphabet mystery and I would
like to know about it since I
am looking at the undeciphered
indus script closely.
It is possible that this
ancient civilization may throw
very good light on the Indus
valley and other related
Indian civilizations.
regards,
Kishore patnaik
