How does the ETA (Electronic I am planning to go to
Australia for tourist

Citizen. I am thinking of
doing the ETA rather than
regular visa because it's
hassle free, Approved
instantly, no paperwork and
its cheaper. But is it
necessarily effective and
safe? How does the ETA work?

it is very effective and safe(make sure you get it from the australian government site) its all done electronically,the record of your visa will be in the australian customs system.you will get a conformation number when you are approved i got one for my canadian husband to come home to australia with me or a visit and there was no hassles at all enjoy my home country! |

how can the FMC give you an I mean, it is kind of
important, especially on
long-haul-flights, that the
FMC should know the winds,
because if you have on a 4000
nm-flight a constant tailwind
of about 100 kn, your ATA
(actual time of arrival) will
probably be a half an hour
earlier than your ETA which
you get from the FMC on your
departure airport.
Right?

In both the Collins and Rockwell FMC that I have seen you are indeed able to enter winds aloft data. Hope this helps |
