How does one establishbusiness credit for a Scorporation?
I help started a newly established S corporation and wrote a business plan for the company. Next, how do I establish business credit for the company? Thank you in advance.
If you had a detailed business plan you'd have the answer. That would be a major part of any business plan. The Pres. VP, Sec. or Treasurer will have to "guarantee" the credit issued to the company. This has nothing to do with either an "S" or a "C" corp. Both need credit in one fashion or another. Good luck on your new corp.
How do I establish credit withmy home business?
I'm starting a home business; what do I need to do to go about establishing personal credit. I currently have no credit history and therefore have not been approved for any lines of credit, inclluding gas cards. What would I need to present to a financial institution to try to begin to establish some positive credit history?
Start with things as simple as a "Staples" or "Office Depot" card. You are going to need office supplies. Rather than pay cash, put them on their cards and pay them off immediately. Ask your bank for a "Secured" loan. You put money in a savings acct at their institution, they put a hold on it. They lend you the same amount, and you pay them back in monthly installments. Once the loan is paid off, they release your money back to you. These will both build credit for you. As a last resort, the one place you can always get credit is through a jeweler. Go down and buy your mom a bracelet for $300 and finance it. This will also go on your credit report. Jeweler's finance ANYONE.
What did Alexander Hamiltonestablish as Secretary ofTreasury and writing theFederalists papers?
Also what did he establish by serving in the Revolutionary War? For secretary of Treasury he established the national bank and what else? For serving in the war I know he became a lieutenant but what else? Besides being able to persuae states to ratify the Constitution, what else did he establish by writing the Federalists Papers?
Get the snacks and soda...here we go...you already know more than the average student. You've paid attention. Herein I may use "W" for Washington, "H" for Hamilton. Alexander Hamilton came to this country from St.Croix as a poor illegitimate orphan, (for which John Adams made derogatory remarks about him.) It is important to understand a little of his childhood to make sense of his accomplishments and plans. Everyone in his young life either left or died; big tragedies. He gets a job working for an international shipping company at I think 12. When he was 14, the owner got sick and had to return to England. He left Alex in charge of the company, entirely. He had to know exchange and inflation /deflation rates of Dutch, Spanish, French, Portuguese, 13 different colonial currencies and more. (This is important later when he fights for a nationalist system of banking and government.) He sets prices according to supply and demand, inspects cargo, deals with burly sea captians. He is not shy about it. He has to process slaves. (He abhorred it and later became an abolitionist.) Some towns people put a scholarship fund together and send him to college in the colonies. Never having experienced cold weather or snow, young Alex gets on a ship to an unknown place. (In a letter to a friend, he had wished for a war so he could bravely distinguish himself and raise his social station in life.- He sure got what he asked for.) Washington first noticed his incredible performance (while in college ) as a self-taught artillery officer in a company he started. (His battalion is still in existence today...the only one from the Rev war.) So impressed was Washington that he invites him to join his select military "family"; living, eating, with Washington and the lilkes of the marquis de Lafayette, another "adopted son" of the usually detached, unemotional Washington. This is the biggest honor that can happen in someone's career . He is given the honor of being W's Aide-de-camp. You had to be highly educated, a gentleman, cream of the crop, prolific writer who thinks like W.;You wrote to congress, etc. almost 24-7, and Hamilton was the best. So good, that W. wouldn't let him fight in battle as Hamilton wanted to do, in order to distinguish himself and raise his social station in life. As Aide-de-camp, he became a Col. Washington finally relented, and Hamilton courageously distinguishes himself at the Battle of Yorktown, where the Brits surrender. Prior to that, although severly and seriously ill, he got out of bed to lead his men across the icy Delaware on Christmas 1776 with Washington, marched 9 miles in a snowstorm, then performed as an outstanding artillery officer in the capture of the Hessian troops.(Battle of Trenton.) As W's Treasury Secretary, Hamilton had an uphill battle dealing with Adams and Jefferson, who were always trying to discredit him and take him down. (I have lost a lot of respect for Jefferson.) Washington saw H's true integrity and upright character, and always held him in the highest regard. While others in government positions made millions on specualtions Hamilton never took a penny. W. also saw H's genius, and gave him free reign, which really ticked off Jefferson, and Adams, who were jealous because he was not from the colonies,he was younger, had genius mentality, and was well-liked. They treated him like an outsider, yet in the end, it was Hamilton who saved ths country from ecomonic and political devastation, to say nothing of his consistently outstanding military contributions. Aides-de-camp aren't on the front, but Hamilton was always everywere something needed to be done, protecting W. on the field and with the pen. He spearheaded the interest in the Constitutionl Convention, and after it was drafted, he wrote many of the 85 brilliant series of essays called the "Federalist Papers", explaining and defending the Constitution. They are still referred today by the supreme court in consulting legal matters. He also established the Federalist party. The ratification of the Constitution enabled Hamilton to propose and implement all his plans for national banking and mercantile systems. He was a far-sighted, nationalist thinking economic planner. As Treasury Secretary (he really functioned as a prime minister for all he did) he proposed an ambitous plan in his "Report on the Republic", in which he outlined and economic plan that included the frederal government assuming the state's pre-war debts. (Assumption.) Speculators who had taken a risk would benefit, and some thought Hamilton to be an elitist to do this. But his plan was farther reaching. He knew those who benefitted would then invest in the development of industry and commerce. It was a win-win situation. Next, he proposed that Congress charter a national bank. he established uniform currency (not all states accepted each other's different currencies.) The national bank was important for the collection, safe storage a
