Egyptians?
I have to do a report about how egyptians have struggled in the past. For example, African Americans suffered because of segregation and discrimination. What obstacles have egyptians had to overcome?
The slavery question has been proved false, by the Egyptian Antiquities Council. The workers lived in villages near the pyramids and had many ameneties that other Egyptians could not even afford.
What did ancient egyptians usetheir hieroglyphic alphabet towrite?
Heyy Ancient Egyptians didn't send love letters or emails to each other, so what did scribes and other egyptians use their hieroglyphic alphabet to write about?? Thanks :)
some rich ones actually did write love letters and stuff they wrote curses to people who broke into their temples praises of gods/pharaohs lists of stuff needed (like "15 sheafs of wheat, 5 slaves, 30 cloves of garlic") measurements instructions (like "the book of the dead") names (like nametags on belongings) if you think about it it's basically the same as what all civilisations used writing for
What did the Egyptians thinkwould happen to the models andpictures they put into tombs?
What did the Egyptians think would happen to the models and pictures they put into tombs?
The Egyptians believed in an afterlife. It was a common practice to place models and pictures in their tombs. Basically, their religion holds that they will be immortal in the afterlife, so at some point the models and pictures will become antiques and be worth a lot of money. It's interesting how often tombs are found empty or nearly empty of everything. People think it's due to theives but i think its just the original Egyptians finally selling their possessions in the afterlife and reaping a healthy profit. Most of the items that are found in tombs, if any, are broken which is why they were left behind.
