nefertiti's bust. she was thought to be the most beautiful woman of her time. this bust proves it. you can find more info below, but to this day, a museum in germany i think has the bust and won't let the cairo museum in egypt have it because it is one of their most popular pieces. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/N efertiti nefertari's tomb. note that nefertiti and nefertari are different (besides being different people, they also lived in different time periods). this tomb is the most beautiful of all tombs in the valley of the queens burial site in egypt. it has been argued by some egyptologists that it should be one of the greatest wonders of the world. the link below will give you some more detailed info. oh, and "QV66" stands for nefertari's tomb number. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Q V66 That's all I can think of for now. Egypt is unique in that it is Arab/African. it has a population whose majority is Moslem with a Christian minority . all the population is religious and conservative . Egypt is modern in every aspect but conservative in morals . there is a conflict between imported ides coming from the west and conservative , moral attitudes . the conflict soon disappears , and morality wins . |
