How do I paint the dump body The truck is old, but with low
miles. We just had cab painted
professionally, but we are
going to paint the dump body
ourselves to save money. The
body currently has some rust
spots forming on it and the
paint is chipping off. I
assume the steps are to sand,
prime/seal, paint coat, uv
coat. Is this correct? What
products should I use to make
this as simple as possible?

Sure just make sure it in a clean room or the dust from out side will mess up the paint job. |

I assume the power unit has 4 connections? 1) power 20-30 amps 2) ground 3) the solenoid (raise) 4) lower valve Power is on all the time, ground to the frame of the truck and the solenoid connection goes to a up toggle switch that supplies 12 volts and lower valve goes to a lower toggle switch that supplies 12 volts. when operated. The solenoid and lower valve switch can be on SPDT switch. |
