Questions/Answers
---dieting?
can anyone please tell me what foods to avoid whilst dieting and what types of food i should be eating any help will be much appriciated thanks
I agree with the other 2. Weight watchers is a really good program. I know a lot of people who have lost a lot of weight on it.. You just have to do everything in moderation. everyonce in a while things are okay but don't have them often. all fried stuff isn't good for you. chocolate, cheese, hot-dogs, corn dogs, regular soda (a lot of wasted calories, switch to diet you'll end up likeing it) icecream, and deserts. ect. but like I said these things are okay everyonce in a while I just wouldn't do them all the time. another thing to watch is portion size. if you go out to eat eat half and take half home for tomorrow (just a tip) hope I helped at all and good luck I know its hard!
Dieting>>?
I need to lose like 8kg (18lb) and i've tried cutting out chocolate and eating proper meals at the right times but it hasn't really worked!! Can anyone help me or give me a link to a GOOD diet that is free and actually works? I want it to be realistic if that makes sence!!
Start counting your calories. You might be eating proper meals at the right times, but you still might be overeating. Start counting your calories (measuring out your serving sizes), and figure out what's going on. The good news is that with calorie counting, on especially good days, you will know whether you can work in a piece of chocolate or two and not feel guilty. What percentage of girls whostart dieting at 13 get eatingdisorders?
I know a girl who has been dieting since she was 13 and still is (she's probably around 15 now). What are the chances of her getting an eating disorder? I've heard that like 86% of girls who diet at that age end up with one, is that true? What statistics do you have/know? I really would like to warn her parents, especially since they see nothing wrong with her behavior. I'm not sure if she's throwing up in a bathroom or anything like that, but she definately is watching what she is eating, eating foods marked "low carb", keeping track of how many pounds she has lost, and exercises for the benefit of weight loss. Also looks like she could use a vitamin if you know what I mean.. Thanks to all who help.
i've been dieting for a year and a half (since 13 1/2) and i dont have a disorder, maybe shes just trying to be healthy. talk to her before her parents. there could be something going on at home, eating is a bout self control, maybe if shes lost something she thinks regaining the ability to choose what she eats can bring things back into focus and get stability. hope i helped
