What is the difference betweena diatomic molecule and adiatomic element?
I am doing an assignment for my science class. The question is: What is an element composed of molecules consisting of two atoms of that element? I know that diatomic element obviously has the word element in it, however the question does not say found in nature (which diatomici elements are.) So I am very confused, and I am a perfectionist, so I do not want to get this question wrong. please give me your opinions.
If that is the exact question... its pretty stupid. There is no such thing as a diatomic element. I'm guessing what it means is: 'What element forms a diatomic molecule?'. In this case, there are many... hydrogen, nitrogen and oxygen are three examples, in air they tend to exist as H2, O2 and N2. Hope that helps :)
What is the difference betweena diatomic molecule, an atom, and an element?
I know that diatomic molecules are made of two atoms, atoms have one atom, but then what are regular elements? okay instead of saying diatomic molecule a diatomic element like hydrogen, oxygen, fluorine, etc.
there is no difference, regular elements occur in mono nd diatomic forms as well as giant lattices
is the oxygen you breath adiatomic molecule?
i was wondering if the oxygen we breath is a diatomic molecule?
Absolutely YES. If the oxygen you breathed were monatomic oxygen (called nascent oxygen) it would be extremely reactive and kill you instantly.
