What is the average bonedensity of the cranial cavity?
I need to make a model of the cranial cavity using something with the same density as that of the actual cranial cavity.I've searched online to find an average bone density for the area, but can't. Any ideas?
The Cranial is made up of eight bones - I would suggest checking out each bones density - this link might help http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C ranial_cavity Good luck!!!
What is the difference betweena motor neuron and a cranialneuron?
What is the difference between a motor neuron cell and a cranial neuron cell? Like the main difference and the diff. functions?? Thanks so much!
In vertebrates, the term motor neuron (or motoneuron) classically applies to neurons located in the central nervous system (CNS) that project their axons outside the CNS and directly or indirectly control muscles. Motor neuron is often synonymous with efferent neuron, primary neuron, or alpha motor neuron. Motor neurons:- These transmit impulses from the central nervous system to the muscles and glands that carry out the response. Most motor neurons are stimulated by interneurons, although some are stimulated directly by sensory neurons. Neurons of the vertebrate cranial sensory ganglia arise from both neural crest and a series of ectodermal thickenings termed neurogenic placodes. Recent results lend insight into how these two populations of cells coordinate their development, and subsequently innervate their central target, the hindbrain.
