Questions/Answers
Cover Girl?
Ok, so, I used to use Maybelline for my foundation. I tried 3 three times to get my color, but they are all too pink in color or too orange (I'm half-Asian, half-America). They just have this weird tint that never match me. The darker I go, the oranger it is. The lighter I go, the lighter and pinker it is. So, I'm sick of Maybelline. My question is, should I try Cover Girl, the TruBlend (it's said to match 97% of people) or any other Cover Girl product, or should I get something from the expensive stores? Like Sephora? I want to try Cover Girl because I'm pretty poor before going to Sephora ... but will it match me? Did it match you well? I have light skin with a yellow-ish tint ... Thanks! Or should I try Neutrogena?
Try the TruBlend - it's actually really good stuff. When they first came out with it, I was in cosmetology school, and we actually tested it, and tried it on everybody - out of about 15 girls, there were only 4 that just outright, no way, couldn't wear it. I also recommend Loreal True Match. And they usually have True Match in little sample sizes, so you can try before you buy. :)
How do you become the covergirl on magazines?
Basically i wanna become a cover girl, i wanna be on the front of magazines. Does anyone know how i go about it? Thanks
Most major magazine covers these days go to celebrities, not models. It used to be you saw Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington, Elle McPherson etc gracing magazine covers. These days, singers & actresses seem to have a near-monopoly on that. Top models get plenty of work doing photoshoots that appear INSIDE the magazines, but unlike the 1990s when models ruled the covers, now it's all Jessica Alba/Scarlett Johansen/Angelina Jolie/Nicole Kidman/Christina Aguilera/Madonna/Beyonce/Maria h/Miley Cyrus etc. I'm talking mainstream magazines like Vogue, Esquire, GQ, Vanity Fair etc. not tabloids which are perpetually Britney/Paris/Katie/Lindsay/Am y Winehouse anyway. Glance at your local supermarket checkout and see what I mean. Fortunately, plenty of consumer electronics, auto, photography and sport/fitness mags still rely on models for their covers. And that work often goes to relatively unknown models- they just need to like your look. Big magazine editors and marketing departments have reached the conclusion that well-known faces from the entertainment industries are better at getting the public to buy their publications than top agency models whose names change every 5 years. So become successful & famous first, and they'll be knocking down your door!
How can I get better coveragefrom Cover Girl Clean makeupoil control?
I bought Cover Girl's clean makeup oil control, and the coverage isn't really good. I was wondering if anybody has any tips on how to get good coverage. And if anybody knows a way to keep it from settling in my pores, please help. Also I am light skinned and I have red acne on my face. (it doesn't cover them that good)
I ues that foundation and apply it with a sponge. U might also want to use a astringent after you wash ur face and b4 u use moisturizer. It'll make your pores look smaller.
