Questions/Answers
What are two modern characters(cartoon or human) that couldbe descendents of Pierrot(Commedia dellArte)?
Pierrot is a French variant of the character Pedrolino from Commedia Dell'Arte. What are modern day characters that take the characteristics of Pierrot?
Wikipedia has a list of pierrot-inspired characters here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P ierrot My favorite character not on the list would be Pepe Le Pew: like pierrot, he wears a form of motley (think of the striped pattern of a skunk), and pines for his kitty columbine (though song and poetry), but is always destined to lose her in the end. With some brainstorming, I'm sure you'll come up with others.
