How to use Prismacolor I recently got a set of
fleshtone Prismacolor markers
as a present from a friend.
There's a colorless blender
marker - I feel really stupid,
but I don't understand how to
use it. It just looks like
water inside a marker when I
use it.
Any tips would be great!

Ugg- this marker gets so many complaints. It has a clear fluid that I'm guessing Prismacolor uses as a base for its inks in the colored markers. It rewets the area, in a way, redistributing the ink in the paper so any hard lines blur out. Think, when you drop water on something written in ink and it gets blurry. Its to blend in two areas together. It has a bad habit of lifting color and leaving white splotchy areas. Its really more effective to blend darker colors into lighter colors, and takes some getting used to. I would just accept the nature of markers and use their hard lines to my advantage, if I were you. Start with really light colors and layer them with slightly darker ones for subtlety. You have to buy a lot of colors to do this though. If you want a slightly softer edge, you can try prepping a small area with the blender marker, so its slightly damp, then going back over with the colored marker- I haven't tired this though. When using Double Colorless I know any energy can count as
colorless energy, but what
does a Double Colorless energy
count for --any energy or for
only colorless attacks?

Double Colorless energy does the exact same thing as a colorless energy, except it is worth two. For example, Machamp's Rage attack requires two fighting energy and two colorless. You would only have to attatch two fighting energy, and ONE double colorless energy, because double colorless counts as two. Good luck! |
