Does anyone believe that Cindy
Crawford designed *any* of the
furniture that bears her name
at Rooms to Go, or am I just
too cynical?

Personally, I think she gets final say, and she probably is part of the brainstorming process, but she has no woodworking or design experience. All she has to say is yes, yes, no, yes, no, yes, etc. and she gets the "design" label. Its just like the whole 'producer' credit in hollywood movies. If you give money, you get a credit. She gives her name, she's going to get credit. Maybe they should say it was 'inspired by' Cindy Crawford's aesthetic appeal, as apparent from her days in House of Style. |

Where can I get Cindy Crawford I purchased a living room set
from Wickes only to find out
now I won't get it due to
bankruptcy! I love this set -
it's called Hathaway by Cindy
Crawford (altho Rooms To Go
calls it Woodrow). Does
anybody know how else I can
get it with warranty? RTG
doesn't have stellar reviews
and can't warranty.

Unfortunately, it looks like Cindy Crawford is now exclusively sold only at Rooms To Go (this is per the Cindy Crawford Home website). By the way, you should be happy you didn't get a chance to buy it from Wickes with their worthless warranty from Stainsafe. Wickes treats their customers like dirt and this is probably why they are now filing for bankruptcy. Wickes told us in July of 2007 that they would refund the entire purchase price of the warranty policy; never received a check. Stainsafe has been playing games with us since July of 2007, saying their approval letter to fix our sofa, the repair tech visit, and the letter approving a replacement sofa were all mistakes. If you want to see how bad Stainsafe is, just google "Stainsafe sucks" and you'll see what I'm talking about. |
