How safe is the cargo hold for I will be transporting my 2
Chihuahua

I can't stand the idea of it because if there are delays and they've already loaded the animals there stuck in the over heated cargo bay's. I won't do it I would rather drive 12 hours before I would load my dog in the under carriage of a plane. by the way I love to fly and can't stand to drive long distances. |

How baggy should cargo pants I have a pair of cargo pants
that I never wear because I
feel like they are too baggy.
The problem is the area around
my calf and shoe area. How
baggy should they be? I like
to look nice and not wear
clothes that are too baggy.
The waist and all of that area
fit perfect.

You don't want the pants to be so baggy that the pant cover more than half of your shoe. If you like to look nice, then cargo pants probably aren't right for you.. |

What are oxygen tanks doing in That hole in the side of the
Quantas jet last week was
caused by an exploding oxygen
tank that was stored in the
cargo hold of the plane. Why
are oxygen tanks in the cargo
hold in the first place?

When you flew, do you remember this little safety speech about "in case of cabin depressurization, and oxygen mask would fall from the ceiling" bit? There are two ways to have oxygen in such conditions: 1- though oxygen generators (canisters filled with chemicals that react together and release pure oxygen when activated) 2- oxygen tanks Regulations require that pilots have a more reliable source of oxygen than passengers do (above a certain altitude, if a pilot has to be left alone, he has to don an oxygen mask); and since canisters release a lot of oxygen but only for a few minutes, this calls for the presence of oxygen tanks. |
