Business trip?
Going away on a business trip
and this is the first one I've
had to go on. My 8 year old is
very upset, he thinks for some
strange reason that mommy
isn't coming home. I know I
have never left him before but
why do you think he would
think I'm not coming back?

He still is young with a wild imagination, and he only chooses to believe what he fears...... He fears you not coming back so he thinks you are never coming back to him......... Reassure him you will.....Call him while your there when you have a chance just to let him know you are ok, and talk to him before you come home just to reassure you will be there....... Comfort him........ |

Business trip in Shanghai in I

Hello, I just found some information about Shanghai Tourism Festival. Shanghai Tourism Festival will start from September 19th to October 6th this year. Besides International Music Fireworks, there are series activities, Shanghai Shopping Festival, Yuyuan Chinese Day, Rose Wedding Ceremony, and Germany Week, etc. Shanghai has many good hotels, and I recommend this hotel, Leading Nobel Suites Hotel (http://leadingnoble.sinotour. com/) because my boss used to stay in this hotel. The rate of the hotel is cheap, and the location is pretty convenient to go to other places. If you would like to live close to Huaihai Road, Jin Chen Hotel (http://jinchen.sinotour.com/) is a good choice. More information about Shanghai, you can link on the page http://tourguide.sinotour.com/ shanghai/ Have a nice trip in Shanghai. |

What to do in Shanghai on a I will be traveling to
Shanghai, China on a business
trip for two weeks. I am a
little scared because although
I've traveled extensively,
I've never been to asia, and
the culture seems very foriegn
to me.
Any suggestions from other
business or vacation travelers
on fun things to do in
Shanghai while on business? I
will be occupied with work
during the day, but evenings
will be free, and I have two
full weekends to spend also.

1.learn chinese, chinese is more and more important. 2.. Stroll in Shanghai's old town with its bustling atmosphere and lively old lanes. Visit Mandarin Yu Garden, a place of peace and comfort in the heart of bustling Shanghai dating back to the fabled Ming Dynasty. Now a popular tourist destination, Yuyuan began as a private garden created by Pan Yunduan, who spent almost 20 years - and all of his savings - to build a garden in order to please his parents in their old age. That is why he called this garden "Yuyuan", where "yu" in Chinese means "peace and health". Visit Jade Buddha Temple, located in the western part of Shanghai. In 1882, an old temple was built to keep two jade Buddha statues which had been brought from Burma by a monk named Huigen. 3.take a walk on the Bund, the famous avenue that parallels the Huang Pu River with its buildings of the 30's. The road is lined with some of the most prestigious buildings and landmarks of the city, mostly erected during the time of the foreign concessions. The river acts as a mirror between the old and the new Shanghai. Stroll along Nangjing Street, China's premier shopping street. The 3.4 miles long Nanjing Road starts at the Bund in the east and ends in the west at the junction of Jingan Temple and Yan'an West Street. Today, Nanjing Road is a must-see metropolitan destination attracting thousands of fashion-seeking shoppers from all over the world. |
