Questions/Answers
Bremen has no Questions askedabout it? So has anyonevisited the very WelcomingBorgfelder Landhaus?
The Restaurant bar is in Borgfeld. The Haake Beck beer is fabolous, don't get confused with Becks which you get outside Bremen. You bet Haake Beck inside Bremen.
I'm a regular visitor to the Borgfelder Landhaus (and took dance lessons there) . Nice atmosphere. The beer from their own brewery is better than both Haake Beck and Becks. (I was just searching for questions concerning Bremen, too.)
Cheapest and Best way fromBremen to Hamburg?
I'm flying into Bremen via ryanair and am planning to go to a show in Hamburg- how can I get there for cheap?
Really great when people answer without having a clue or knowing at all. There's no need for Deutsche Bahn, no need for "Dauer Spezial" and no need for a weekend ticket. The regular price from Bremen to Hamburg is only 20 Euro, the ride is about 75 minutes. The train company is called "Metronom", they have nice and comfortable blue-yellow-white trains. As Bremen and Hamburg both accept the "Niedersachsen-Ticket" (Lower Saxony ticket) you can also buy that, it's valid all day long from 9 am until 3 am the next day (on weekends and public holidays all day long). The price is 27 Euro for up to 5 people or 19 Euro for one person. The ticket is also valid for all public transport like busses and subways in Hamburg. So you can really save some pennies here. Trains go once in an hour, usually on minute 28.
What is the Distance betweenthe Port Bremen, Germany andNew York City, New York?
My Great Grandfather came to America in 1884 from Hanover, Germany. He sailed from The Port of Bremen, Germany and arrived In New York City. What I want to know is How far it is and the time it would have taken him in 1884. To reach America. Thanks
I cant easily find Bremen on any of the Great Circle Calculators on line, so I used Hamburg, which is 6124 km or 3805 miles or 3306 nautical miles from NYC. How long? He would probably have come on NordDuetsch Lloyd or Hamburg-Amerika lines; in 1884 their ships were pretty primitive...paddle wheels weren't uncommon; auxiliary sail rigs weren't unknown; ships probably did 10-15 knots so say ten days to two weeks; if he was in immigrant class conditions then were pretty primitive.
