Where can I find a short story The story was about a man in a
future world (sounded like a
post nuclear war world) who
heard about some merchant who
could transport you to a
fantasy world of your
choosing. In exchange for all
of your worldly goods. This
man's worldly goods was some
boots, copper wire and some
cans of corned beef. The story
was clever because the
listener got the impression
that the man was with his
family just living a normal
life. At the end of the story,
you realize that this man's
fantasy was just to be with
his family again (and no
wishes of being a king, going
to wild parties where all the
women wanted him, etc., etc.)
It's really a touching story.
I just wanted to know the name
of the author and possibly
where (name of book) I could
find the story. I tried
googling and yahooing. No
luck. BTW, the BBC world
service is also known as FM
648 in northern Europe and the
UK.

Salmon Rushdie novel...... do

this proof that they are just

already made him a sir.
I am a devout atheist and the
world service is heard around
the globe, what's going

Because the Beeb is a lick spittle lackey of political correctness and the sainted Salman is an icon of the chattering morons in Broadcasting House. |
