you can actually view an autopsy by placing a request with your sheriff/coroner department. They'll allow you to view a non forensic autopsy, one that isn't being used in a criminal investigation. |

What tests are normally run in What tests are normally run in
an autopsy toxicology report?
Like tests for drugs, poisons,
etc. that may lead to the
perpetrator of the crime.

Whether and which tests they run are determined by the suspected (or known) cause of death. A little old lady who goes in her sleep isn't going to be screened for cocaine or rat poison unless there is some reason to believe it might turn up. A youngish, healthy person who dies in a single-vehicle car wreck would be tested for drugs, booze, and levels of prescription medications they were taking. |

I suppose that if you have someone who works there and is willing to take the chance. Usually those documents are supposed to be confidential. If, however, there was some sort of legal controversy regarding his death, it might be part of the court's docket. |
