What's the difference betweenthe King James Version bibleand the Authorized King JamesVersion?
I just bought bibles for my family and friends. Inside It says Authorized King James Version. What the heck? Authorized? Can someone tell me if this bible has been altered in any way? For those who haven't answered yet. I noticed that at the beginning of each book there is a description of what the book is about. In MY King James Version bible, they don't have that. It's just the books of the Bible. Thanks.
My one King James bible says it is both. I have studied this bible [ or many just like it ], 46 years, if there is anything missing, I have not found it, it is true and complete in 66 Books. I am amaized that they began to be published 398 years ago, when Moses was at Exodus 3562 years ago and that was 430 years after Abraham's covenant that he got 427 years after Noah was in the flood year 1656.
Wasn't the Authorized Version(King James Version)authorized by King James, apracticinghomosexual/bisexual?
How then do so many homophobic "Christians" justify this tainted Bible?
Yes. And I have no idea.
since King James was a King,is the King James Version theversion that God wrote?
or wanted? Because there is no authority that isn't from God, and even angels don't speak bad about Kings. So since King James Authorized the KJV, does that mean that God Himself authorized that version?
1) since King James was a King, is the King James Version the version that God wrote? No. 2) or wanted? Possibly. The King James Version was probably the best (most accurate and precise) English bible available for about 250 years. By today's standards it is not a great translation, but in its time - clearly - it was outstanding. 3) So since King James Authorized the KJV, does that mean that God Himself authorized that version? We can certainly consider such a possibility, but then we would also have to consider the Revised Version to be authorized by God, as well as all of the Roman Catholic bibles (every one approved by someone in authority). The NEB and REB might also qualify, being approved by religious authority in the U.K. Then there's the HCSB, approved by the Southern Baptists Convention, etc. etc. etc. Jim, http://www.bibleselector.com/r _kjv_apoc.html
