Can i wear astigmatism contactin non astigmatism eye?
I don't have non-astigmatism contacts for my other eye so can i just but an astigmatism contact in my non-astigmatism eye? or would that be bad? i forgot to note that the astigmatism eye and non astigmatism eye are the exact same prescription
That would mean it will be completely the wrong prescription for that eye, so you probably won't see very well. But, go ahead and try, the worst that can happen is that you can't see with it, and you will take it back off.
Is there a thin lenses forastigmatism eye glasses?
With all these high tech and uptodate procedures, did anybody come up to replace those ugly thick-lensed eye glasses?
There are thinner and more light weight materials available for astigmatism, but cosmetically they still aren't always great. A good provider will tell you if you are a poor candidate for glasses and should be honest about the cosmetic appearance of the glasses he/she recommends. For the thinnest lens, you want to look for a "high index" material (1.67, 1.70) with an "aspheric" design. This will give you the thinnest, flattest shape possible. These options will cost more but are worth it! For someone with a strong correction, frame style is important too. You want to choose a frame that helps to mask some of the thickness of the lens, not emphasize it. Try to avoid drill mount frames, as they typically can't handle the weight of a thick lens.
Would I be able to see fine ifone eye had astigmatism andthe other didn't?
Just wondering. It would be very convenient for me if one eye had astigmatism and the other didn't for surgical reasons. Would I still be able to see pretty good with one perfectly corrected eye and one with astigmatism?
You need a complete eye exam. The optometrist or ophthalmologist will be able to tell you how your vision is with or without glasses. Astigmatism basically means that the shape of your eye changed. Astigmatism affects the distance and the close up.
