Questions to ask Doctor when What kind of questions should
i ask my doctor when i go for
a physical check? I've never
been to one before and not too
sure what to ask. Can i even
ask for a check on my knees
for suitable exercises and so

suitable to ask sports related

You can ask anything you want, even about the weather if you like, you're paying the bill. now wether the doctor will actually be able to answer the questions is another story. most doctors like you getting involved with the question and answer part of a physical. If you have not had a physical before then you are going to be given a health and family history profile. they will ask all manner of questions about your past health and that of your family. you answer. based on that the doctor will decide what is the most important things to focus on in your exam. you can always ask for a complete exam and get one. this is not a problem. depending ou your age you may not need certain tests unless you tell the doctor that there is a family history of this problem. for insatnce, if you are 20 and have no family history of prostate or cololrectal cancer then your doctor may not bother with the rectal digit exam. ( if you have to ask what that is you are better off not knowing until you need it.) ask away, especialy if you have health concerns, if your doctor can anwer it, they probably will, if not you may be refered to a specialist who can better help with your specific medical and health needs. |

well the doctor will ask many of questions 1. how much exercise have you been doing? ( because excrise makes periods come late and you might skip it) 2. your diet ( see what you eat it can make the period came late) 3. if your had sex( periods don't come if your pregnant) 4. the doctor will ask about your period cycle 5. he will ask if your on any medication ( this can make a period delay) 6. if you on the pill( because the pill can slow down the period and the blood flow in the period) 7. and of course he will ask if theres any abnormal pains or feelings near your vagina but your it might just come late just give it another week i wouldn't worry because if you haven't had sex then i guess theres nothing major to worry about |

What sexual questions does the I'm 14 and a female and want
to do sports in high school so
I know I'm going to have to
get a physical. I had oral
once and I was wondering if
they ask any sexual questions
like that and if you have to
say yes even though it was
just oral. Also does the
doctor keep it confidential
from my parents or do they
tell them about it.

The doctor will only ask you if you've been sexually active. And as far this goes I believe you're safe to say you have not had sex. I don't care what old people say, oral doesn't count as "losing your virginity" or anything :] And yes, everything you say will be confidential. THe doctor will not tell your mom you have had sex, if you had. |
