Arab, a quarter Russian, and i
quarter Polish.
People, try to be kinda nice.
The reason why i asked this
question is beause i feel like
i see so many prejudice people
out there. I am a senior at
high shool and even there
arabs get made fun of.

I am Cherokee, Scottish, Irish, English. Even being half makes no difference you are still a human being. So what if you are an Arab, Black, Yellow, White, Green, Purple. What difference does it make? Anyone that thinks Muslims or Arabs are bad because of a few bad yokes are prejudice. |

You know that they can't do anything.....There's not one Arab soldiers willing to go to war in the proper garb. They all like to use the hijab. Anyway they talk louder than they act. Suicide bomber? Father Manuel Musalam, leader of the small Latin community in the Gaza Strip, said masked gunmen torched and looted the Rosary Sisters School and the Latin Church. "The masked gunmen used rocket-propelled grenades to storm the main entrances of the school and church," he said. "Then they destroyed almost everything inside, including the Cross, the Holy Book, computers and other equipment." BTW, if the terrorists keep on bombing my territory, I'll blast them off to kingdom come irrespective of who they use as as human shield. They should be wise enough not to use young children, women and their own teen age girls as shield. |

How did the Arabs get Greek I know, from many sources,
that Europeans rediscovered
Greek and Roman texts because
they had been translated and
copied by the Arabs, who
brought the Arabic versions to
Europe. What I am wondering
is, how did the Arabs get
these texts in the first
place? Greece was conquered by
Rome in 338 BC (?) and Rome
fell in the 5th century, yet
Islam arose in the 7th
century, and the Muslims
conquered all other cultures
in the region.
Also, why didn't the Byzantine
Empire have the Roman texts?
After all, they were once part
of Rome, and they survived all
the way up to the fall of
Constantinople in 1453.

'conquered' Greece(no wars i
mean), they simply were there,
as the Greek civilization was
over. Arabs did nothing to
translate and copy roman
texts..absolutely nothing.
Vandals never ruled anything
but their own tents. And Islam
reached as far as southern
Spain and the South-eastern
Balcans.
The bizantine empire's name
was Roman eastern Empire, they
had roman texts because they
ever belonged to the Roman
empire. At a point in time
there were two capitol cities,
Rome and
Bisantium\Costantinetown the
actual Instanbul(present
Turkey). And the Bizantine
empire was christian, not
muslim. Never seen their art
works..full of holy Marys and
angels and Christs?
