Well in 1873 Comstock got Congress to pass a law that made it illegal to mail lewd materials as well as anything pertaining to birth control. Which is in direct opposition to the beliefs of Margaret Sanger, a birth control activist. She was instrumental in opening the way to universal access to birth control. |
