Questions/Answers
Amusement parks?
Would you consider Amusement Parks, to be amusing if someone you loved lost their life on a ride? Over 50 people a year lose their lives to some dysfunction on a ride, or trauma to the heart or brain from g forces and how fast the rides go. What do you think about this.
i use to go quite frequently when my children were young, but no rides faster then the scooby doo rollercoaster at kings dominion for me. this park is located just north of richmond in virginia. but i very much enjoy busch gardens located in williamsburg, virginia. safer rides, too. plus more things for adults. so there should be a warning sign about rides that are or may be dangerous to some people.
What happens to amusementparks and their rollercoasters after their closingsduring the winter?
What do maintenance do to the roller coasters and attractions during the winter when all amusement parks are closed since no one wants to ride a cold roller coaster. Laugh Chuckle Snicker.
Depending on the ride, they can get taken apart and put into storage for the winter season. Most coasters have a building that houses the trains. Those buildings are used as storage and maintenance. Merry-go-rounds and ferris wheels will get their cars or horses removed and placed into storage, as well as sky rides. The down time for amusement parks is spent with maintenance doing general ride maintenance, clean ups, and repainting.
