All the church folks will rise My cousin just got back from
the Bible Zone, and she says
people were telling her that
stuff with a straight face.
There's more: All us bad
people will be left behind,
and we'll continue in our
usual wicked ways, as if
nothing happened.
So all the church people will
suddenly be missing, and we
won't even notice? Are we
really that stupid?
OKAY HERE'S MY BIG QUESTION:
Will all the church people go
up with just the clothes they
have on, or will they be
allowed to bring luggage?
.

No, I don't think they get to bring any luggage. Something about they're not allowed to go back and get stuff. (Seriously, it's in the Bible). But just think, Better Parking for the rest of us |

How is it that blacks and Note how blacks and Latinos go
to church, yet also have much
higher rates of
fatherlessness, violent crime,
gangs, child and animal abuse.
All of those things are
incredibly unChristian. You
think if they went to church
more, they'd understand how
damaging it is to not have a
father in the family. Asian
and white people don't do as
much of this, yet don't go to
church as much.

As a white person that had to endure several years of fundamentalist churches, I can tell you that the worst white people I have known (cheaters, liars, abusers, etc.) were the biggest Bible-thumpers in the Church. People that were less hung up or obsessed with religion tended to have better behavior. So, I don't think its a black/Latino thing per se. You see this phenomenon in all ethnic groups. I always thought these individuals used the "God's forgiveness" thing as a moral "Get-out-of-jail-free" card. They do whatever they want, God will forgive them. As far as the black/latino crime thing, I think that is partly economic, partly sociocultural, and partly misrepresentation in the news media. Believe me, I've met plenty of white drug pushers, dog fighters, child abusers, etc. You just don't hear about it as much. |

My employer has scheduled a I have indicated to my
employer that during the
meeting time (not during my
normal working hours) I
normally attend church. My
employer has indicated that
the meeting is mandatory for
all employees. They choose
Sunday because that is the
only day they open later.

it is legal and if 'seekn2know' had read the provided link they would realize it is legal. you must be paid for the meeting but federal law does not mandate any kind of minimum amount of time for a shift. there MAY be a few states that do, there are also a few states that mandate one day off a week which could possibly effect this. |
