Questions/Answers
i am doing world culturalproject someone know aboutKing alaric 1 childhood ?
No but I'll look it up.Alaric and the other Germanic tribal kings were a pretty interesting bunch.Looking forward to what other people know too Looks like he was born to a wealthy and powerful Visigoth chieftain.
What do you think of the boy'sname Alaric?
I actually think it's really cool - it's a Gothic name and I think they could easily come back into vogue what with all the vampire stuff around right now. Plus Alaric was the barbarian who sacked Rome - I think that's pretty awesome. It sounds similar enough to other names like Alec, Ric, Alan, Ellery and so on that it doesn't really seem that weird or unfamiliar. I would have liked to use it myself, actually.
Where was Alaric I born?
I have seen on various web sites that he was born on Peuce Island, but I'm not sure. Could you tell me what you find out?
The site that I checked out said Peuce island which now is in Romania
