Questions/Answers
What is the bible, who is thegod and what is the place ofworship for AfricanTraditional religion?
I need to know the gods/goddesses and what their holy book (eg. a bible in Christianity) I also need to know how they worship, if this is true I heard most Africans follow different religions. Well, I'm talking about the Africans that aren't Catholic and stuff. I mean the native Africans, that have their own traditional religion.
Pre-christian/islam african religions tends to be shamanist or animist. They don't have holy books, and often enough don't have gods in the sense you probably understand the christian god. If you wanted a better description of religious practices, probably an idea to pick at least an area to narrow it down.
How does traditional Africanreligion justify the womans'sinferior position in theirsociety?
For example in Ibo people I'm writing an essay on "Things fall apart" Thanks for your help
Relgion justifies nothing, regardless of which sect or belief structure. The people who subscribe to them are the ones who justify acts of others, not the books that they read or the learnings they're given. Women are in that position there because they allow it, that's all.
What are other AfricanTraditional Religions otherthan the Yoruba Religion?
Please leave the sites of the info you found your answer on if there is one!!! Thanks! -
Kemeticism, arguably, since Egypt is in Africa.
