What do adolescent red peacock I've tried to find a picture
of an adolescent Red Peacock
Cichlid, but I cant find one.
I wanna get one for my tank,

same colors as the pictures of
the adults I've seen online.
So I'm wondering if they get
their color as they get older.
Can someone please post a link

Red Peacock Cichlid?
Or atleast can someone tell me

Aulonocara hansbaenschi ? All of the Aulonocara fry look similar and they don't have their colours until they mature Have a look at the Cichlid forum below. You won't be able to tell what sort of Aulonacara it is until it colours up or, if it is male or female |

What happens at a meeting with Are there any standard tests
or things that are said to the
adolescent? I need to reassure
my foster child, who has been
abused in the past. He wants
to know what will happen and I
don't really know what to say.

It will probably not be tests or questions for the young person. The psychiatrist will hope to get the young person to open up and talk about anything perhaps picking up on certain phrases or movements. It will be gently and friendly. I hope you have an experienced psychiatrist - perhaps particularly experienced with abused children. You don't say how severely abused (or whether sexually or physically or mentally abused) your foster child is. Any support for a damaged young person could help. I saw a therapist when I was a teenager (same issues) and simply went along each week to chat, so I thought. I'd talk about dreams, things that happened, what I felt, I could be angry, upset, tired, fed up or anything. She would focus on things I'd said and explore them in a deeper way, trying to find out what I meant etc. It can leave a person feeling drained so one thing your foster child will need is space and understanding - I'm sure you know this anyway. Things can be uncovered in these sessions which are frightening, shocking, disturbing and the foster child will be mulling things over all week - or in between sessions. And sexuality and fears and violent feelings can all be explored in safety. Your foster child might display anger at the family, those closest to them. I wish you all a good future and especially your foster child. |
