I have been contemplating our origins and purpose of existence since my first rational and conscious thought when I was about 4. Since then I have searched almost every avenue for answers. I am entangled in circular thought about motive, origin, good and evil, astrology, ethics, karma, quantum physics and basically every supernatural theory one can find. That's it....I'm tired. And I believe this search that most all of us are doing here and in life may be the trick of the ego. When one becomes enlightened they supposedly have separated from ego and any/all attachments. How can this be? Isn't the ego the driving force behind a person becoming enlightened. Am i really searching because i truly want answers or am i searching because my ego will not allow me to be part of the billions of people who are spiritually starving? I feel like i am 27 going on 100 yet i still have no true answers. Maybe i have reached that point where i have seen how easily entire belief systems can crumble and morph into totally new and opposing beliefs that it has caused me to question any belief i have as it will probably be proven wrong soon enough. So here i am...with no answers...still the 4 year old boy searching for who and what we are realizing that I or anyone else's' guess(or belief) is as good or worse as anyone else's. I'm tired. My brain hurts. My soul is empty and yearning for answers that are unanswerable. If i could see the mountain top i would continue to climb but this is a journey with no end and i must say goodbye to my ego and start living life to have a little fun.
