What is the best way to market I have been making and selling
tea party hats on eBay and
through my website,
www.teapartytreasures.com. I
also sell tea party hat making
kits for children and adults
to make their own hat with all
of the supplies included.
What would be the best way to
market them other than what I
am doing now? They are really
pretty and I have rec'd good
response through eBay so far,
but am going broke in eBay
fees. Also, need feedback on

If you make hats, you might want to concentrate on just that. I noticed that you sell tea party supplies, etc. It costs you money to purchase them and keep them on hand where as the hats you can make on-demand. Also if you branch out from such a single theme you will reach a wider potential buying audience. Also, if you did this it would necessitate a name & domain change to reflect the hats only theme. You can make hats with themes. (Birthday--have a mini cake on it, etc., Red Hat Group--Go for flowers, etc. in their theme, Bridal Shower, Retirement, Baby Shower, etc.). That way people who might not have a tea party but rather a celebration which they may want to purchase a single hat for the birthday girl or bride to be, etc. It would still keep you in the hat making area, but would give you a wider range of products. Also, look into a product to color your basic hats before decorating them. That way you can still purchase the plain hats at a lower cost, but be able to offer a range of colors. Make sure whatever dye/color agent you use is colorfast and will not run if it gets wet. You can write to "how to" sites that put up links to places where you can purchase supplies. (Then go to birthday, tea party, etc. whichever ones fit your hat themes.) You can continue to sell on ebay or try a handmade craft selling site like http://www.etsy.com. Or you can opt for putting up a shopping cart on your own site to help reduce costs. Blogs are really big. If you keep one and write about creating the hats and then showing photos of them in action, etc. you may attract buyers that way. I hope these suggestions help! |

You could launch your own website. I started my business with a freeebie Tripod site, then upgraded when the money started coming in. Make sure your descriptions use all the words people would type if they are looking on a search engine for what you have. If you want local business, make up flyers and deliver them to companies. Make sure you give some away so you can get referrals and testimonials from satisfied customers, plus photos to add to your advertising materials. Write a press release announcing your products and send it to the local newspaper with some pictures. Most newspapers print everything you send. You can have inexpensive business cards made at vistaprints.com . |

youve faqllen for the classic myth im afraid. the myth itself is that you kill white knights duroing the christmas event and they will drop santa hats, but this isnt true im afraid. jagex had to take these rares out because of the over inflattionb that was being caused when they rose from a few k (when they where released) and are now trading at 100- 400 million coins each. so, to reiterate, its a myth and it isnt true. |
