Require white papers on the Hi,
I would like some material
which I can use as reference.
They have to be in the form of
accredited white papers and I
will probably need between 5
and 10 listings of how Web
Services Technologies can
benefit Web 2.0 based
technologies.
Any helpful information is
most appreciated.

If you have a PayPal account, they have a SOAP interface If you have a google AdWord account, there is a SOAP interface And I think Amazon has a few things you can fiddle around with via SOAP. But I don't know if any of those is *implemented* using Java Web Services. But the whole point (I thought) of Web Services is that it didn't matter. I just found this: http://code.google.com/apis/so apsearch/api_faq.html Pretty telling , that google is no longer supporting their SOAP interface. But.. you didn't want an argument between SOAP and REST, right? :) |

I'll have to guess the meaning of your question a little. Whether a java class will be 'allowed' to talk to a db or not depends on the sandbox the java code runs in and any socket related issues between that machine and the machine running the database. |
