ISP with Web Services?
Are there decent ISP's who offer web services? That is, I'd like to create a web site with web services. If you can't answer this directly, at least let me know if this is rare or common. Thanks
I don't think an ISP is the place to go host a site. Many hosts out there offer so much more for web building. If you want a cheap host, email me... I can set up something for you. I do web hosting. Most ISP hosts, have restricted services/abilities on the server. For many reasons, mostly for their own good. Depending on what you want to do, you can get hosts for $60 a year to $500 a month. All depends on disk space, bandwidth, server OS and location.

The World Wide Web is more and more used for application to application communication. The programmatic interfaces made available are referred to as Web services. The goal of the Web Services Activity is to develop a set of technologies in order to lead Web services to their full potential. The Web Services Activity Statement explains the W3C's work on this topic in more detail. Note: The XML Protocol Activity was incorporated in the Web Services Activity in January 2002
