How can I look up a phone I got a voicemail but the
person didn't say what the
area code was. I tried
whitepages.com and
peoplesearch.com but they
require area codes. Is there
any website I look this up at?
Please and thank you!
I'm aware that phone numbers
are not unique without the
area code, but I tried looking
the number up with my area
code and it was a buisness
number so I don't think that
is right.

Not unless you know the address. Phone numbers are not unique in themselves, it's the area codes that make them unique. So the number 514-0896 could be used in 5,000 different area codes. |

The person understands if I I searched over a friend in
Peoplesearch on Internet and
some other family tree
sites.Is it possible that the
person got to know he or she
being searched on?

no, i don't think so. Unless that he has an account there and there is an option for that site to tell him who viewed me like on this website www.friendster.com. That has the ability to check if you look or search for him. |

This is a tough one. I know that many states have a criminal record search and such. (Alaska) It depends on what info that you want to obtain and why i guess. |

You may want to visit your local library and review their old newstories (most libraries save these on microfiche). You may find the news story this way. While you're at the library, ask the reference desk staff (most of these people I've ever approached with a question are walking encyclopedias and may have some additional ideas ...). Not meaning to be harsh, but your friend's daughter may not wish to be found. |
