I am from Canada and my mom is a nurse. I have talked to her about the kinds of schooling to take. She says to go to a good college because career colleges and online schools will not give you enough training and knowledge to get hired as a nurse. She says that the people who have not gone to a good school have not found work and get turned down by employers as a result of their education. So many end up going back to school while others find a new career path. Try talking to a registered nurse about schooling options and if you don't know anyone ask your friends and family they may know someone who you can speak to. Be careful allot of schools will just take your money and leave you with minimal knowledge and not prepare you for the long run. |

Are there any nursing schools I am a busy mom, but I would

I should have clarified that I
am looking to be a RN. I would
like a hospital
certificate/diploma, my
associates or bachelors. My
ultimate goal is to become a
nurse practitioner.

There are a few like excelsior but i would stay away from them. You need the one on one in class room time and hands on time in lab. Some states and hospitals will not recognize online degrees for first time RN's. This is a different story lets say if you already had a Rn and were going for a masters. |

Online Nursing Schools?
I am not currently a nurse, I
am a stay at home mom with 4
children. I attended college
after highschool and my major
was in nursing. I would like
to get a nursing degree and do
it online, but I am confused
when i look at the online
schools programs. Are there
any online schools for people
who arent nurses and would
like to be?

You could do anything you put your mind too. If there is on-line nursing schools go for it!!. But I don't think there are because there is so much on hands work to becoming a nurse . Take time out to go to school, There are weekend classes. !! |
