I would recommend searching this site: http://educationreviewworld.in fo/go/CareersandEducation.htm They have a ton of schools that you can search on and request information from. I used it and it sure helped me out a lot :) |

I don't think so. For some classes maybe but, for others you probably want to be there. Some classes you'd need/want hands on experience. How old are your kids? Have you considered going to a college where day care is offered? Have you tried to get grants and scholarships for mothers. If you don't have time to be in class will you have the time for the online courses? Will you have time to complete the homework and studying and readings and let alone memorizations! There is a lot of memorizing in nursing. Perhaps, you should consider a daycare option, additonal aid options search, and then re-evaluate if you have the time. I wish you the very best and hopefully everything will fall into place for your degree. Good job in taking the first step for researching college to better yourself and the future for you and your kids. |

My mom is an RN. HAs her BSN, MSN and is now going for her NP.I suppose the learning process becomes more difficult as you get older, but she has been very frustrated. Has a year left. She's online at University of South Alabama. They used to have a waiting list when I went. University of Iowa has a good one also. Iowa's in the top five for nursing programs. |

I want a good nursing school so i can work in America after
the programme.

There is no nursing online program. You would have to physically be in the USA and apply to a college that teaches nursing. It is hands on only. No degrees for nurses given out online! |

I would say that your best bet is to take any courses that you can that will give you college credit. At my high school, that meant taking AP classes (advanced placement), or a couple of other classes where the school had agreements with local colleges. In my state (NC) there is also something called "dual enrollment" where you can attend a local community college for free (except for the cost of books) while you are still in high school. My last year I only had to go to school for 1/2 a day, and went to the local CC the other half (it was great!). To particularly get you prepped for nursing, I would say to take Chemistry, Biology, Psychology, and health sciences courses that your school offers. Good luck! |
