Military discount Las Vegas?
My husband just got back from Iraq about 2 months ago from a 6 month tour. We wanted to take a trip to celebrate him being home safe and also my 21st birthday. We live about 5 hours from Las Vegas so we are planning to go there in January. Does anyone know which hotels on the strip offer military discount? We really have our hearts set on the Luxor or New York New york, or possibly Treasure Island. But If there is a good deal somewhere else, im all for it. We have a pretty expandable budget but not where we can be spending 200 a night on a hotel room. We will be there a thursday through a sunday. If anyone can help i would appreciate it! Google searchs and Las Vegas.com arent helping!
The Stratosphere offers a discount for active military http://www.stratospherehotel.c om If you could go Sunday through Thursday instead of Thursday through Sunday you would save a great deal of money. Friday and Saturday nights are usually at least twice the price of Sun/Thur... By going Sunday through Thursday you would not only lower the room cost you would also greatly increase your chances of getting a nice upgrade when you check in.. IMO, of the hotels on your list the Luxor would be your best bet. Hotels.com has been having some very good deals http://www.hotels.com >>We live 5 hours from Las Vegas<< I take it you're going to have your can...You might try one of the locals hotel/casinos rather than one of the strip hotels...You generally get more hotel for less money... My suggestions Eastside Cannery >This one is only 4-5 months old...the casino is very-very nice with some of the best gaming to be found anywhere and the rooms are 4 star all the way...Room 616 had a stunning view Red Rock - Very nice casino - great rooms Silverton - Very nice casino - nice rooms - Bass Pro Shop Fiesta Henderson - South Point - Rampart - Suncoast - Sam's Town >are all nice hotels, with nice casinos. Downtown - Our fav is Main Street Station - the Golden Nugget is a very nice 4 star hotel, we just prefer to stay/play/eat at MSS Good luck, and God bless you both... ~Jack~
Las Vegas Rooms?
What is the best site to get good discounts on a hotel room for a weekend in Vegas??? Plus does anyone recommend a hotel/casino?
The best rates are usually by the hotels own site, because there are no additional fees. Some sites offer low room rates but charge an arm and leg in fees. Orbitz and Expedia aren't that great other than for planning. The hotels are very similar, I've stayed at many of them from the low range to high range. If lowest price interests you, look at resorts at the far ends of the strip or off the strip like Hooter, Excalibur or Circus. If location is important, Harrahs, or Planet Hollywood are reasonable choices.
