Where can I find car insurance I've been without insurance
for almost a year now. I
canceled my old policy because
I do not drive my car anymore
and I'm selling it. So I
finally bought a new car, and
I am currently looking for
insurance. But I haven't had
any insurance the past year.
Where can I get insurance?

If you do not have to many points on your license, or another situation that would prevent you from acquiring insurance, than you should have no trouble. People who have not driven for years, for whatever reason can still buy insurance, as long as their license is in effect. (VALID). You can go on line to Geico, or one of the other mega insurance services. But I would recommend checking with your friends, family, co workers, for a referral to their insurance agent. Preferably a local insurance broker. They have more companies to write for, thus giving you a better choice, and better rates. |

longer have a car so I don't
carry insurance anymore but
want to be covered if I need
to drive my son's car.

all you have to do is have your son add you to his policy....he has to to do this because he is the policy holder....and you having the same address has nothing to do with being on his insurance....i did the same thing with my daughter her car was in my name and i added her as a driver simple as that! |

hi stacie! that insurance scheme using a tracking device to verify whether you will use it between certain hours or base it on the number of miles and roads used, was piloted by Norwich Union and has not yet been released publically, to my knowledge! I believe it is called PAY AS YOU DRIVE Anyways, to save money on insurance: Buy a 1.2Litre or below Value of car under 2k If you want to save money in the long run then pay heavy now and build up your no claims bonus so that by the time you can afford an expensive car insurance will be the least of your worries! If you want to save money now, and expect to earn so much taht when you get a good car insurance will be affordable... then be the 2nd driver (not main) and possible use DIRECT LINE for this purpose! Finally, try confused.com to search for the best quote for you!!! Hope ive helped! |

Do car insurance companies When you ask for a new car
insurance quote from your
current or a new provider they
always ask the question if you
have been involved in an
accident or have been pulled
over recently etc, etc. My
question is, do they already
know this info and are they
maybe testing me or do they
really don't know? I've had
two moving violations within
the past 5 years and I'm
wondering how to answer these
questions when I shop for
insurance on a new vehicle.

if you have gotten a ticket or two or three, i would stay with the same company and not make too much noise. unless you get in an accident, the likelihood of the insruance company running your driving record is almost zero. they won't know. if you try to go to another company - they will run your driving record - bank on it. and, the ticket(s) will show up and their quote will be higher as a result. Your current company does not know about it. Stay w them and don't make any noise. |

There will be a lot of determining factors as to how much it will cost. Where you live, history, car, etc. the best way is to do some research for yourself and figure out what type of coverage you're looking for. Check this site out http://www.ez-insurancesearch. com they have some great info and will give you quotes from some of the top providers in your area. Good Luck! |
