Where can I find car insurancefor my situation?
I've been without insurance for almost a year now. I canceled my old policy because I do not drive my car anymore and I'm selling it. So I finally bought a new car, and I am currently looking for insurance. But I haven't had any insurance the past year. Where can I get insurance?
If you do not have to many points on your license, or another situation that would prevent you from acquiring insurance, than you should have no trouble. People who have not driven for years, for whatever reason can still buy insurance, as long as their license is in effect. (VALID). You can go on line to Geico, or one of the other mega insurance services. But I would recommend checking with your friends, family, co workers, for a referral to their insurance agent. Preferably a local insurance broker. They have more companies to write for, thus giving you a better choice, and better rates.
Can a homeowner's insurancecover an car stolen becausekeys were taken from break into home?
My friends home got broken into and car keys were stolen and with that stole the vehicle. The vehicle only had liability insurance. Now both homeowners and car insurance are telling them that they won't pay for that loss. Is this correct in any way? The vehicle has a value of $7K. Would obtaining an attorney be helpful?
I don't think so If you want some more information, I would check out... http://www.knowledged.info/go. php?link=insurance Take care.
What are my options for rentalcar insurance?
I am renting a car for one month from Hertz. Their insurance is very expensive (at $25 per day, it adds $900 to my costs). I have already asked my credit card company if they offer auto insurance for a rental car. Do you have any suggestions on other options for inusuring a rental car for one month? I do not own a car, so I do not have any personal auto insurance. This rental will be in the United States.
With the rental company you have two options, take it or refuse it. Talk to your insurance agent about a rider which would cover any at fault accident you would have with a rental car for a month. They may have suggestions.
Can an car insurance companydeny coverage if the driverdoesn't wear seat belts?
Say if you let your friend drive your car and he get's in an accident. Can you car insurance company say that the insurance coverage didn't count because your friend didn't have seat belts on? Thx.
Yes, alot of them now have a clause in the policy stating if you have no seatbelt on they are not liable....it sucks but they are doing it. A site I've recommended in the past would be... http://insurance.deal4-you.com Hope that helps.
Will my car insurance rates goup in a single car accident?
Have had a perfect driving record for 20 years, last week on my way to work, hit black ice, and car overturned in the ditch - car was a total loss. Do you think my rates will rise? No injuries or property damage, just a totalled car from the crash. Have been with the same insurance company with no previous claims the past 10+ years.
First it depends on your state. If you are in NH, they can't surcharge you for a one car accident, even if you total the car. Then, it depends on your company. Some have first accident forgiveness after you have been with the same company more than 3 or 5 yrs. Some have first accident forgiveness up to a certain amount (like only up to $10,000, above that is chargable). Some don't have any first accident forgiveness. The best place to find out is your agent.
