Congrats Tom on wanting to buy an arcade game, I too love the classic games and buy and rebuild them as a hobby. You can find them, First place I always look and have had the best luck has been eBay. The person that said check a local arcade us another source as well as a company that supplies laundry mats, convenient stores, ect.... Some Luck this way... Place an add in the local paper, or Cregs list. Haven't attempted this but have seen others post.. Look for an auction house in your area or where you are willing to travel, ask if they come across such items and if so if they know persons dealing in such items. Good luck, happy gaming |

I didn't think there were any till my brother bought lots, and i tell you all i have been playing the last few days is Worms and Bomberman online and have not had so much fun in a while. I could be playing GTA4 or COD4 but i chose to play those instead, way more fun. Also Bankshot Billards is another good one. All three very much popular. I even recovered my gamertag onto his 360 just so we can go online together. |

Looking for the names of two I remember heaps of arcade
games I played when I was a
kid (probably circa 1985-1990)
but there are two which I
cannot remember the names of,
but can vaguely remember the
games themselves. I'll try to
describe them, and perhaps
someone can figure out what
they are.
In the first, I think it was a
vertical scrolling shooter of
some kind, and you were
piloting a plane or helicopter
(I believe it could be two
players at once), and you
could shoot air and land
enemies, but you had to watch
out not to kill civilians (I
remember one part where there
was a long road running across
the screen and I used to shoot
some poor guy in his Ferrari
every game). It wasn't 1942 or
1943, but similar to these.
The second one, I believe it
was a space shooter game, and
I'm pretty sure your ship was
fixed in the center of the
screen, and as you turned,
everything turned around the
center - it wasn't Asteroids,
but I can't remember much else
about it!
Can anyone help?

The first game I'm unsure of but might the second game be Tempest or Gyruss? I didn't play Tempest much but know enough that it might fit your description. Gyruss was a favorite of mine back then, though the ship wasn't in the center of the screen as I recall, it moved around the edge in a circle. |

Where can I find arcade games I am a teen who has no source
of income except $20 a month.
I want to buy an old arcade
game, like: Asteroids, Donkey
Kong, Super Mario Bros., Rush,
Skeeball, the Pac Mans. I can
afford at the most right now
$200, but by middle September
$450. Where should I look for
a good standup game, but with
a good price as well?

GameStop. If you look at the used games they are pretty cheap |
