People in Flanders have Belgium as country, so Belgian as nationality. Within the country they live in the Flanders region and are called Flemish. Although I would call them Vlaams, (both me and them speaking Dutch.) |

Bouviers are herding breeds from Belgium, Black Russian terriers are a working/guarding breed from (of course) Russia. Both can be used in protection work. BRTs are bigger, if I recall, though Bouviers are still plenty big. Edit: guys...Bouviers are from Belgium, not France (even though it's a French name). Flanders is in the country of Belgium. They are actually vaguely related to the Belgian shepherds. |
