What happens after an ovarian I was diagnosed with a
ruptured ovarian cyst 3 months
ago. The symptoms prior to the
rupture were pains in my lower
right abdomen first in the
middle of my cycle then at
random times. One day I had
really bad pains and an
ultrasound revealed a ruptured
cyst on my right ovary. My
doctor prescribed some
painkillers for the pain.
Since then the pain continues
at mid cycle and a few days
before my period. It seems to
be increasing in intensity and
duration, Is this normal?

You could have another one. I had one removed a few months ago and it is back now and continues to grow. |

Has anyone aborted a pregnancy My daughter has just been
diagnosed with a complex cyst
and she's, unfortunately,
pregnant. Because of the
impact that having a child
with the wrong partner will
have on her future, I hope her
decision will be to abort the
pregnancy. I'm seeking advice
from anyone who might have had
a similar situation (out of
marriage) and aborted the
pregnancy. Are there any
serious risks to her wellbeing
with this complex cyst being
part of the equation?

What are restrictions of I have an ovarian cyst that I
had diagnosed two days ago, it
is causing me slight pain, but
not too bad. I am supposed to
go out of town for a camping
trip for the weekend and we'll
be camping about 25 miles from
the nearest town.
Is it wise to go, or do I need
to be near a clinic until the
cyst clears up? The cyst is
2.3 CM, and the doctor told me
that it was leaking blood,
probably because it was
getting smaller.

Can I start lifting weights I had my pilonidal cyst
drained about 3 weeks ago, now
theres no pain and no lump,
its gone but I know its still
healing.
Can I start lifting weights
again? And what are the
chances of re-occurances?

The cyst may be in an area where you might put too much pressure on it. So I would recommend you doing your weight lifting making sure that no physical pressure is put on the location of the cyst until you are really sure it has healed completely. Give it a total of 6 weeks after surgery and then I believe you will be just fine. No reason for making your pilonidal cyst worse. |

Does having a small benign I have had this cyst for 22
years. I am forty now. I have
had it checked out numerous
times and contine to do so
during my physicals. It
doesn't hurt so the doctor
says to leave it alone.
However I am looking into
having a vasectomy and didn't
know whether this cyst would
affect it or not.

A vasectomy is performed near the top of your sack, almost were it connects at the base of your scrotum. If the cyst is down low, then it probably will not matter. However in this modern day of constant lawsuits, the doctor may ask that you get the cyst taken care of first because he, or she, may fear liability. |
