Why did lawyers for Britney Spears agree to a drug test?
The lawyers for Britney Spears
should have never agreed to a
drug test. As soon as ordered
by the court, Britney's coucil
should have admitted to the
judge that Britney would not
pass a drug test. That would
have been one less thing the
court can use against her now!
Any ideas?

Clearly the judge found credible evidence that she had been using/abusing drugs and that this placed the children at risk. When there is credible evidence (not just rumor/hearsay) the judge can order the tests in the best interest of the child. I'm not certain her lawyers "agreed" to it. She was compelled to follow the court's order or risk the courts deciding that her refusal supported the claims and the children were best not in her custody. Admission to the use would not have been in her best interest (remember..she had been to rehab, so a blatant admission of use AFTER rehab attempts demonstrates limited rehablitative potential.) The court order was probably used to determine if she was currently using or had used recently and whether her present condition warranted removing the children. |

How can I get a body like 2002 Britney Spears?
How can I get a body like 2002
Britney Spears? She was very
trim that year (that was the
year she wore the see through
sparkle sequin outfit at the
MTV awards). I am 5'4 and
weigh 180 pounds. What should
I be eating daily (an example
please) and how often should I
work out, how long and what
exercises should I do?

cut daily calories in-take in half (mostly in fats and sweets). drink at least 64 oz of water per day. cardio exercises 1/2 -hour per day. then do 50 sit-ups a day. do curls , reverse curls, bench press reps of 20 - do 3 reps of each - use 25% of your body weight or work up to that weight. |

How to dress for a britney spears type concert?
I'm going for an open call
tomorrow to be an extra in a
concert scene, but I'm a total
fashion dweeb, and have no
clue how to dress for it. Does
anybody have a clue what one
would wear to a britney spears
type rock concert (Their
words, not mine)

Go for something sparkly and attention-grabbing that shows a bit of skin (but not to the point where your boobs are hanging out). With a lot of people there, it's going to get hot, so you almost have to go in skimpier clothing. When I go to concerts, I go in an embellished tanktop and jeans. I wear comfy shoes, too, since I know I'll be standing for a long time. Go light on the jewelry--you wouldn't want something to get caught on someone else's clothes and ripped off your body. Ouch! Have fun tomorrow! |

Why would anyone think Britney Spears was a feminist?
I see all these questions
about feminism and
Britney-what the heck does she
have to do with feminism? Has
she ever been involved in a
feminist group, feminist
cause, or even made a feminist
statement? Since either men or
women can be a feminist, and
strive for gender equality,
why would anyone think Britney
Spears was a feminist?

I don't know. But can you *ever* recall a male actor/singer/Hollywood star being railed for what a "bad parent" he is? People don't give a flying s.hit how men treat their kids. (When Alec Baldwin "blew up" at his daughter, many people in fact rushed to his defense. Did they even know the history of the relations between him and his daughter? Did they just think "kids have become disrespectful brats" and shouldn't be so mean to their absent fathers?) Marlon Brando had like 5 kids with 3 different women. I don't hear anyone complaining that Marlon Brando should have "become sterile." French author Jean-Jacques Rousseau, who wrote *books* about how parents should educate their children, had something like 4 kids with 3 or 4 different women and never saw any of them. Parenting is *rarely* the first thing to come up in discussion about male stars or accomplished men in general. Yet it often *is* for women. God please let us see the day when women's identities are not tied up in their uteruses. |
