Does anyone know of any I am looking to be a teacher
and can not find a school that
offers an online teaching
degree. the reason that i need
an online school is becaus i
am working full time to try to
get my car fixed as well as
get a place of my own due to
the fact that i got kicked out
of my mothers house because of
the drinking that she does all
of the time. if any one has
anything that could help me
please let me know thank you

It would scare the hell out of me to have my daughter taught by some one whos degree came from their computer. If you have to wait to go to school, please do. Besides, you'll have to do your student teaching and that can't be done from home. |

That's a tough set of problems. You could certainly study one of a range of bachelor's degrees online; many colleges and universities offer them, but in respct of a teaching qualification the problem is that that only effective way to develop your teaching skills is to do practical teaching experience (which is normally under supervision by a skilled professional). I don't see how you could get around this problem except if you can find a school that will allow you to study the theoretical components of your course online, then organize with educational authorities (near you) so that you can do your blocks of teaching practice. I'd suggest that you check with the specialist pedagogical institutions in the country you live in first, and only go further afield if it's absolutely necessary -- because of the prac. teaching issue. Do an online search under 'teaching courses' in the category 'distance learning'. It sounds like it is best that you are out of that negative environment you were living in. I know it's another issue but it is good to see you taking positive steps to advance your own life and I wish you all the best. Lenky |
