It's not that it's directed toward older people but most people with three children cannot afford to take them on a cruise ship. You are very fortunate and your children are also very fortunate that you are taking them with you. Holland America will do everything to accommodate you and your children so that both yourself and your children have a good time. It's like meeting someone you really would develop a relationship with and they find out you have three children!! I love children and have my share of them but a time and a place and Holland America is not the ship for them and maybe not for you either. I wish you the best and I know you are spending a tidy sum to take them along on HAmerica but perhaps the Disney cruise would serve you better unless you are looking for Mr right?--good luck and enjoy |

In Dec was on a Holland trip and very few children. Not many activities for kids as well as adults. I must say actually saw less than a dozen. Good luck and have a great cruise. |

The answer to your question comes in two parts. Part One: Most of the travelers are on the older side, although that is changing, as more people become cruise oriented. Holland tends to be more traditional in keeping with the old Dutch flavor the company has long been noted for. Part Two: Holland recognizes the need to address families on the cruise, and have established the HAL Club just for kids! The HAL Club offers games, activities geared for the younger ages, all the way to high school age. I have linked a couple of Holland Web sites for you to look at. I recommend surfing their web site to check it out. I am a long time Holland America cruiser and really enjoy what Holland offers. Camai. Long time Alaska Cruise and Travel expert |
