What doo you know about Marching Band Trips to disney world, Orlando, Florida?
Our Band is going to March in a Parade at Disney World. The catch is our director isn't going to tell us anything about it until the week of the trip! He did tell us that we'll get free passes to the park
Either you will be playing before one of the parades at Magic Kingdom. Also some bands preform on stages throughout the park. A few years ago they used to March around the lagoon at Epcot not sure they do that anymore.
Disney Magic Music Days selects outstanding bands, orchestras, choirs, dance ensembles, drill teams, and other performing groups from around the world to perform at the Walt Disney World Resort. As part of Magic Music Days, your group will be featured at a venue in the Magic Kingdom® Park, Epcot®, Disney-MGM Studios, Animal Kingdom®, or Downtown Disney Marketplace. What makes Disney Magic Music Days such an unforgettable experience isn't just the emotional high of performing at the Walt Disney World Resort -- it's also the level of service you'll receive from the Walt Disney World Cast. This effort to exceed your expectations is known as the "Disney Touch" and includes: • A Disney Guest Talent Coordinator to personally work with you on all aspects of your performance • Commemorative Disney Magic Music Days T-shirts and lapel pins •A keepsake award recognizing your group's performance While you're at the Walt Disney World Resort, your group can also take advantage of an opportunity to enjoy a hands-on workshop designed and facilitated by Disney entertainers to enhance the performance skills of entertainers ages 11 to adult. Five fun and informative sessions make it easy to add a touch of "Disney Magic" to your performances. "Jazz It Up" involves jazz bands in a hands-on showcase of the essential components of jazz with style -- Disney style, that is! Participating groups examine phrasing improvisation, ensemble sound, jazz styles, and the rhythm section. Minimum 16 participants. "You're Instrumental" takes concert bands into a recording studio and gives them the unique chance to record their own soundtrack to a portion of a Disney animated feature. Minimum 40 participants. "Disney Sings" focuses on singing styles, interpretation, and vocal dynamics. A Disney vocalist and recording artist also demonstrates how movement can impact song and ways vocal warm-ups enhance performance. Minimum 20 participants. "Disney Dancin'" emphasizes the importance of discipline, show presentation, and movement to dance teams, show choirs, drill teams, and color guards. Participants put this insight into action as they learn an actual Disney production number for a backstage performance! Minimum 20 participants. "Make 'Em Laugh" gives drama groups the chance to explore comedic acting and timing, improvisational techniques, and how to create dialects before putting it all together in their own special version of an Epcot Street Theatre Show. Minimum 20 participants. Directors should apply to participate in Disney Magic Music Days two to 12 months in advance.
