what is the best way to get I am wanting to try and get
the best discounts on hotel
rooms in Las Vegas for about
4-5 months from now. I prefer
hotels such as the Palms or
the Hard Rock or at least a 4
to 5 star hotel on the strip.
OTHER than the typical sites
such as priceline,
travelocity, expedia, etc.,
etc. ... does anyone know of
good ways to get cheap
discount prices ?

It might help if you tell us where your flying from and how close the next airport is to you. It sometimes best flying out of a airport 30mins to save $100. Also hardrock and palms are just off the strip. |

I do a lot of searching... The places that you mentioned (Palms and Hard Rock) don't seem to run a lot of promos.. Your best bet may be to go directly through the hotel websites for those two.. I also advise searching through some of the current promotional offers that the different hotels run. There are several websites that maintain lists of deals.. Try some of the following. Check out www.lasvegasnow.com OR www.lasvegas.com Actually, surprisingly, going to the hotel web site can get you some of the best deals since the economy is not so great and hotels are giving you discounted rooms, food credits, show discounts, etc. The Plams and Hard Rock do not give these discounts. Check out places lik Venetiain or Palazzo. Or off the Strip try South Point or Orleans, both very nice places and not far from the main action of the Strip. These are local favorites |

What works for me 9 out of 10 times is Vegas.com. Just go through all the places that are acceptable and you choose the best deal. |
